POHEMAS is a group located in the Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania area dedicated to exploring the use of armed and unarmed combat in Europe's past. We are not a recreationist, fantasy combat, or stage combat society. Instead, we believe that true understanding of historic martial practices comes only by combining scholarly research with actual physical training.
