What does this do?

This test benchmarks your line speed, both up and down. The test servers are located at Telerama's headquarters in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, PA. This should give you a very accurate reading of your line speed.

There are many factors that may be affecting your speed, including the presence of a half-duplex ethernet hub on your site, driver misconfiguration, poor internal wiring, faulty modem, bad neighborhood wiring, Verizon ATM congestion, or a problem at Telerama.
