Macintosh Configuration

Configuration Settings for The Macintosh:

Configuration Settings for Config PPP:
Click on the Apple icon and then go to the Control Panels.

Choose Config PPP from the Control Panels menu and then click on Config...
Enter your local access number where it says Phone num.

The next four images will provide information that should be entered when clicking on the Connect Script, LCP Options,Authentication, and IPCP Options buttons. Once all of that information is entered click on Done and then update yourMacTCP settings.
Connect Script

This area should be left blank.

LCP Options

Click on Default settings and then check Want and Will under Remote for Authentication (PAP).

Authentication

Enter your Telerama username and password.

(Your Telerama username should be in ALL lower-case letters.)
IPCP Options

Click on Default settings
MacTCP Settings

Click on the Apple icon and then go to the Control Panels.

Choose MacTCP from the Control Panels menu and then click on More...
Obtain Address should be set to Server.

IP Address should be set to Class C.

The Gateway Address will be assigned by the server. The Domain Name should be set to . and the Domain IP Address should be set to 205.201.1.10 -- Click OK and then restart your Mac so that the settings will take effect.


Configuration Settings for FreePPP:

Open FreePPP Setup, expand the window and click on the Accounts tab.
Click New to create settings for a new Telerama account or Edit your existing Telerama account.

Enter your local access number.

Set Connect to Directly.

Enter your Telerama username and password.

Under the Connection tab set your Port Speed, the Flow Control, and enter a Modem init String.

(Most, if not all, of the settings on this tab can be left at their defaults.)
Under the Options tab set the Domain Name and DNS information to 'not used' and select Assigned by PPP server for the IP address.

Click OK

On the orginal FreePPP Setup window click Open TCP/IP.

Connect via: FreePPP; Configure: Using PPP Server; Name server adr.: 205.201.1.10; Search domains: telerama.com --
save your settings and then restart your Mac so that the settings will take effect.


Configuration Settings for OS8 OT/PPP (Remote Access):

Click on the Apple icon and then go to the Control Panels.

Choose PPP or Remote Access from the Control Panels menu.

Enter your Telerama username and password.

Enter your local access number.

Click Options...
Under the Protocol tab check the first two options.

Click OK.
Before establishing a PPP connection you'll need to set up the Mac TCP/IP.
Click on the Apple icon and then go to the Control Panels.

Choose TCP/IP from the Control Panels menu.

Connect via: PPP
Configure: Using PPP Server
Name server adr.: 205.201.1.10
Search domains: telerama.com

Save your settings and then restart your Mac so that the settings will take effect.
